Dragon Ball Super Ep. 86 Review

An exciting episode indeed as Android 17 finally returns and meeting Goku for the first time in the entire series. No time was wasted as Goku immediately challenged #17 to a fight to test his power. #17 gets the upper hand against Super Saiyan Goku. Then once again Goku shows off his Blue form like a bargain sale only to have the fight end in a draw, oh yeah! #17 is equal to Blue form Goku. Seems absurd how #17 whom only trained on Earth is able to match Goku whom has trained with Whis and achieved God form. Not surprise at the inconsistency seeing how Goku and Vegeta are repeatedly getting their butt kicked in the series so far in their Blue form. Kinda makes me question the point of having this form to begin with and how the duo seem to be getting weaker, and weaker. Okay, ranting aside. This is a fun episode to watch because #17 is back! He is a lot more different now, more mature compared to how he was during the Cell saga. Not just that, a certain character was also mentione

Berserk S2 Ep. 03 Review

Things start off quite interesting with this episode because Griffith is finally back in the spotlight where most of this episode's story will be. At the start we got to see a tiny bit of what Griffith is capable off. Zodd showed up to assist Griffith and they also introduced a few new characters like Grunbeld, and Locus. Later on, it was shown how Griffith runs things in his army, the Band of the Hawk. Many things were shown in his army that kinda made me think that Griffith isn't so bad after all. He's definitely leadership material. Despite who he is he appears so normal, almost human. I think his Seer is creepier with her obsession on Griffith. Overall, good story and pacing going on here. Not much of Guts was featured in this episode but a good story shouldn't only focus on the protagonist, it should also feature other backstories. Verdict: 8/10

Berserk 2017 Ep. 2 Review

May Contain Spoilers! Nothing much happened in this episode. Understandable as it is in between arcs so things should be more calm. However, this does not mean this episode didn't have anything interesting at all. Episode 2 picks off where the last one left with Puck bringing Guts and Casca to his hometown of Elfhelm. The story cuts off to another duo in the first half. The first half of the episode mainly focused on Serpico, and his backstory like how he became Farnese's servant. We also got a glimpse of Farnese's early life as well. The latter half is a bit more interesting with Guts having the nightmares and the reunion with Isidro, Farnese, and Serpico. It was a treat to see the gang coming together. Since this is Berserk, expect some messed up scenes involving Serpico and Farnese, as well as Casca. Overall, not a dull moment. Made me wish that the episodes were longer. Verdict: 7/10

Berserk 2017 Episode 1 Review

Spoiler alert. Do not continue if you do not want to be plot spoiled! First of, huge fan of Berserk here. I was waiting for the second season to come since February and am I glad that it is finally here. I was hoping that they would ditch the CGI and use traditional 2D animation for this season but this is not the case. Kind of a let down considering that the intro has awesome looking 2D animation. The opening theme is great. Doesn't quite fit the tone of Berserk but I feel that based on this intro, this season may have a lighter tone. However, I may be wrong since the manga is freaking dark and the anime should be faithful to it. If you have read the manga you will be right at home as this episode shows Guts returning to Godo's place with Casca and Puck. Guts found out that Godo has moved on and was told that someone very "pretty" came to look for Rickert. And then everything turned bad real quick. The Good No time wasted, everything was handled swiftly and no

The Dragon Braver Chapter Prologue

The Beginning  It is the year 2020, deforestation on Earth has driven all animals to near extinction. On one fateful day, a group of lions was resting when a group of hunters appeared out of nowhere. The lions started running when shots were fired by these hunters. Three out of five were shot dead, while two remained on the run. The chase went on until both lions, the father and the son reached to the far end of a cliff. With nowhere to run, the hunters in their jeeps caught up with them. Four hunters leapt out from their jeep, smirking. One of them said, "Well, well. You two sure got us chasing. Wasting our gas like that, we're going to make sure we have some fun first." Another hunter then said, "Hey, better watch it, we don't wanna ruin the skin. It'd be all for nothin' if their fur is bad." The first hunter replied, "Don't worry 'bout it!" and fired a shot right between the eyes of the lion cub, killing it immediatel
